Samsung has announced three models of its latest flagship Galaxy S series – Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The major factors of the latest Samsung flagship phone are the display and camera.
The new Galaxy S20 phones from Samsung has a lot to offer. The latest Qualcomm flagship chipset, Snapdragon 865, 128GB or 512GB of storage capacity, and 8GB/12GB (or even 16GB in S20 Ultra) of RAM. Let’s start from the display. The three phones have 4,000 mAh, 4,500 mAh, and 5,000 mAh battery capacities respectively.
All three phones run on the Android 10 operating system with Samsung’s One UI 2.0 user interface.
Galaxy S20 features a screen size of 6.2-inch, Galaxy S20+ has a screen size of 6.7-inch, and Galaxy S20 Ultra’s screen size is 6.9-inch. All three models have nearly a bezel-less screen with a hole-punch Dynamic AMOLED display (or so-called Samsung’s Infinity-O display). The displays support the 120Hz screen refresh rate, though set at 60Hz by default.
Galaxy S20 has a triple rear camera setup while the S20+ has a quad-camera block on the back. However, the Galaxy S20+ shares the identical three cameras with standard Galaxy S20 with an addition of a fourth DepthVision Camera. The identical three cameras are 12MP wide, 12MP ultra-wide, and 64MP telephoto. Both offer 3x hybrid optic zoom and 30x super-resolution zoom.
The camera array on the Galaxy S20 Ultra is completely different and more advanced. It combines the main 108MP camera with a 12MP ultra-wide camera (same as the other two models), and a 48MP telephoto camera. The third telephoto camera has a smaller sensor than S20 and S20+ but has more advanced optics that will allow 10x hybrid optic zoom and 100x super-resolution zoom.
