Realme had launched the Realme X7 and X7 Pro in September last year. The company, after over half a year, launched Realme X7 Pro Ultra in China. The new variant is also reportedly dubbed as the Extreme Edition when released out of China.
The Realme X7 Pro Ultra, or Extreme Edition if you like that way, comes with a bunch of improvements. However, it also lacks some features from the original X7 Pro.
The X7 Pro Ultra comes with pretty much a similar design but the tag line “dare to leap” under the camera module, instead of the side. Well, it better be washed off, not sure who’d like that big branding on the phone, do you? Do tell us in the comments below.
The new Realme X7 Pro Ultra sports an identical 6.55-inch screen with a Super AMOLED display and Full HD+ resolution. The display maxes out at 1200 nits of brightness but has a downgrade of 90Hz refresh rate, compared to 120Hz in X7 Pro. The phone comes with a Gorilla Glass 5 on top of the screen and an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the X7 Pro Ultra packs with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, which is the same, with the octa-core processor and Mali G77 GPU. The new Ultra variant offers a larger 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage. Another variant is available with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Realme X7 Pro Ultra features a triple camera setup with three camera units identical to what the X7 Pro offered. Though the Ultra variant has ditched the 2MP depth sensor, it keeps the three cameras identical. It comes with a 64MP main camera unit along with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 2MP macro camera. 32MP selfie camera is also identical on the front.
The X7 Pro Ultra runs the Android 11 operating system with Realme UI 2.0 on top. Inside, the 4500 mAh battery is backing up the phone. The 65-watt fast charging support can fully charge the phone in just 35 minutes, as claimed by the company.
The Realme X7 Pro Ultra is launched in China only. There is no word as of when the phone will be available in outer markets. In China, the phone costs CNY 2,399 (~$365 or PKR ~56,100) for 8GB/128GB variant. The other 12GB/256GB variant costs CNY 2,699 (~$410 or PKR ~63,100).
