OPPO has announced the launch of the latest Reno 6 series in Pakistan. The Reno 6 goes on pre-orders, while the Reno 6 Pro 5G will be available next month.
Retailed at Rs. 59,999 in Pakistan, the OPPO Reno 6 is currently available for pre-booking. Once the new smartphone goes on sale, it will be available in two colours – Aurora and Stellar Black.
The Reno 6 Pro features a 6.4-inch screen with 2400×1080 pixels full HD+ resolution. The AMOLED display comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. The pixel density is 410ppi on a 91.7% screen ratio. According to claims, the maximum static contrast ratio is 1000000:1 (200000:1 dynamic) and the typical brightness is 430 nits. With the High Brightness Mode (HBM), it can reach up to 600 nits. The default touch sampling rate is 120Hz while the 2-fingers touch sampling rate is 180Hz.
Reno 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 720G. The 2.3GHz octa-core processor is comprised of 2 big cores and 6 little cores. The chip is coupled with an Adreno 618 GPU.
The 173-gram phone is currently available in a single memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Note that the external memory is supported. The phone runs the Android 11 operating system with ColorOS 11.1 skin on top of it.
The quad-camera setup comes with a main 64MP camera coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. A 2MP macro and another 2MP monochrome camera are also included. ON the front, there is a 44MP selfie camera.
The Reno 6 uses two series-connected battery cells and offers a total capacity of 4310 mAh. 50-watt fast charging is supported. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor while other sensors include Geomagnetic, Proximity, Optical, Accelerometer, Gravity, Gyroscope, and Pedometer.
The OPPO Reno6 Pro 5G will come later in October. It boasts a 6.5-inch 3D curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring a silky-smooth feel and comfortable viewing experience. The display is HDR10+ certified and it also features MediaTek’s latest flagship 5G-integrated SoC, the Dimensity 1200 along with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 which can achieve 100% charge in about 31 minutes.
OPPO Reno 6 is available for pre-order starting September 8 in Pakistan. The phone will be available in two colour options – Aurora and Stellar Black. Moreover, OPPO has unveiled the “Discover the faces of Pakistan” project where they join hands with Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) to capture the national sentiments through powerful portraits and bring the unique culture of Pakistan to the world. The project will be showcased in OPPO Gallery, the virtual art exhibition created by OPPO for everyone, in late September.
The star-studded event was also graced by OPPO Brand Ambassador Maya Ali who talked about OPPO Gallery and how the company provides young artists with a platform to showcase their works of art. She also unveiled the phone along with OPPO CEO George Long and Asim Azhar. Leading content creator shared his work of portraits shot on OPPO Reno6 to showcase the true camera capabilities of the phone.

The Reno6 also comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, as well as OPPO’s self-developed RAM Expansion technology which allows for some of the ROM storage to be used as short-term memory if RAM space runs out.
Essentially, the original 8GB of RAM can be supplemented with an additional 2GB/3G/5GB of memory when needed. This time on Reno6, two layers of texture have been added, among which the Color Film gave off additional blue and green tones while the Bullet Texture enhanced transparency.
