Vivo has started teasing with its upcoming foldable phone. Vivo’s foldable phone and tablet have been in rumors for quite a long time. Along with a premium X Note smartphone, the so-called X Fold, and the Vivo Pad have been speculated to be unveiled in April.
According to recent teasers published on the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo, Vivo is going to announce its foldable phone, rumored to be named X Fold, on Monday, March 28. It’s also suggested that the company may announce several other devices including the Vivo Pad and the Vivo X Note smartphone.
There is no official or any authenticated sourced news about the features of these devices. However, according to rumors, The Vivo X Fold may feature a 6.53-inch screen with an OLED panel and FHD+ display resolution. The refresh rate of the screen will be 120Hz.
The teaser translates into “There’s always better, it’s worth the wait for the amazing opening Monday” on machine translator.
The X Fold will have an 8-inch foldable inner screen with OLED panel and resolution of QHD+ with 120Hz display refresh rate. Both displays are likely to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The X Fold may be featuring a quad-camera setup with 50MP, 48MP, 12MP, and 8MP cameras. The phone is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and maybe packed with a 4,600mAh battery. According to rumors, it will support 80-watt fast wired charging and 50-watt fast wireless charging and running Android 12 OS.
If the rumors go true, there will be a tablet from the company – speculated as Vivo Pad. It may feature an 11-inch display that features a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a 120Hz display refresh rate. There is no source to suggest whether it will be an LCD or an AMOLED panel.
From the inside, the tablet will be powered with Snapdragon 870 chipset. On the imaging side, the tab may feature a dual back camera 13MP + 8MP and an 8-megapixel front camera.
Running Android 12 OS, according to rumors, the Vivo Pad may feature an 8,040mAh large battery with the support of 44-watt fast charging.
While the major focus will be on foldable and tablet devices, there could be another entrant among them, the Vivo X Note. The X Note may feature a 7-inch large screen with an AMOLED display. The display resolution is QHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate, still according to rumors. The display will carry an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be powering the device called X Note. It is rumored to sport a similar configuration of the camera as on the X Fold. There will be a 5,000mAh battery with 80-watt fast wired charging support and 50-watt fast wireless charging. X Note will also run Android 12 OS.
