57% people want Elon Musk to step down as Twitter Head – Will Musk abide by the results?

In a recent Twitter poll, created by the creator himself, people voted out Elon Musk to remain as the Twitter Head. The question remains, will Musk abide by the results?

Elon Musk asked Twitter users in a poll earlier today if they really want him to step down as Twitter head. The poll quickly started gaining tilt toward a “YES”. However, the balance was not much out of the two answers. Only at a little difference, the “NO” was also an answer many of the users polled.

After when the poll ended completely with over 17 million votes (17,502,391 to be precise), 57.5% polled “YES”. 42.5% of the users still want him as the head of Twitter. He also assured that he will abide by the results of the poll.

Elon Musk, the Tesla creator, has come under fire since his takeover of Twitter and everyone on the internet knows about it. Most recently he received huge criticism after the changes made in the social media platform’s policies since the acquisition.

The Starlink owner has already warned that Twitter is on “Fastlane to Bankruptcy” in a response to an MIT researcher who offered to run Twitter for free.

It’s not yet clear if Musk steps down as Twitter’s head, will it be to respect the people’s will or if it’s already decided about some new CEO. A user pointed out that Musk may already have another CEO chosen as he will retire to be the chairman of the board. Well, Musk has already denied it by noting that there is no successor.

#FunFact: Musk started the poll while he was in Qatar to watch the final game of the FIFA World Cup between Argentina and France. He tweeted after the game was over; if you are too curious to know. We are not sure if this element is worth talking about but it’s worth mentioning. Because Qatar has invested $375 million in the social media platform we are talking about here. After Musk, it’s Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud – the Saudi prince, who has the major investment in Twitter.
