Today I just came to know that USB On-The-Go in Nokia N8 is really a plug and play. Nokia officially has advertised this smart phone with prominently saying about the USB-OTG feature in it but they never showed it’s full capabilities. They just showed that how can you attach external USB Flash/Pen Drives to your Nokia N8. Yes it works really great with the external flash drives. But now it’s gonna be doing more than that.
I just thought to connect my USB mouse or USB keyboard to it in the same way to check what happens. And I was surprised that my Nokia N8 just picked the USB Mouse in seconds. Then I tried the same with the USB Keyboard it gave the same results again. The Nokia N8 picked them both very efficiently. I am just posting the videos below to show you how it worked. Then I searched the Google and found that not much but some of the people have already tested it.
Any ways. I found that the Keyboard was great in speed with no-delay. But the mouse was a bit lagging. I am also posting some of the short-keys(which I was able to find) to operate the Nokia N8 via your USB Keyboard.
You don’t need any thing else but the USB Keyboard and a USB Mouse. Just connect your USB On-The-Go adapter cable to your Nokia N8 and USB Keyboard/Mouse to the adapter cable. That’s all it should be working..

[New Post] Nokia N8 - USB-OTG Mouse and Keyboard - http://techprolonged.com/index.php/2010/...
Hey I guess it will be better if you put your voice instead of this strange and odd music in background.
just suggestion !
Thanks suyog. I actually was going to record it with better camera today morning I also took it with me to my Office so that I could do it again because this video was recorded at home with some disturbing voice in background. But unfortunately I forgot the USB-OTG adapter cable back in home :-s.
I will really try to record this video(or any other) again with voice instructions.
Thanks again for the suggestion :)
Thanks for these great videos.
The keyboard shortcuts are really useful.
Hi,
The list of KB shortcuts is nice. While experimenting, I found couple of more shortcuts.
Universal Shortcut Keys:
1. [WinLogo-LeftSide] - Left navigation key
2. [WinLogo-RightSide] - Right navigation key
These are alternates to Ctrl+Left / Ctrl+Right combination.
