Google Documents gets the new Google Look and Feel

Google has brought the new Google Look on Google Docs. Previously we mentioned about Gmail getting the new look. Now you have an option to test the same new look and feel and keyboard shortcuts on Google Docs. However you can revert back any time as it’s not finished update and you will have an option to toggle the looks by the link provided at upper-right corner as “Try the new look” if you are in the classic look, or “Use the classic look” if you have switched to new look.

Classic Look

New Look

Ted Chen, A software engineer at Google, said in the blog post

As part of our effort to provide an improved and consistent web experience across Google products, we’d like to invite you to try out a new look for the documents list that’s rolling out to users over the next few days. If it’s available to you, you’ll be able to preview the new look by clicking on Try the new look under the gear icon in the upper right. You’ll be able to return to the classic look using the same menu.

Not only the design but you will be able to use the facility of keyboard shortcuts.

The keyboard shortcuts will only be usable if you are using new interface of Google Docs.
