While we are exploring Nokia N9 in great detail, we have gathered a lot of information about its ins and outs. One of them is the unavailability of USB connection toggling once it has been established to the PC.
Normally with other devices you can switch connection from PC mode to Mass Storage mode while the connection has been made. For example you have connected your device to PC via PC mode or Sync mode, you can switch it to Mass Storage mode without removing/disconnecting the USB cable.
Nokia N9, as for now, won’t let you do that. It currently requires you to disconnect and remove the USB cable to change the connection mode. And you must have to choose one on very first prompt whether what connection mode you want to connect with, when connecting the USB cable to Nokia N9.
A software update has already been pushed to N950 developer devices and one for N9 has also been promised to be released soon. We hope there would be much additions and features. A set of 3500 changes/updates have been mentioned. Such fixes may possibly be added to coming update.
