This is always a tragic moment when you have done with formatting or hard resetting your phone due to any reason and later think “Oh! idiot. I just forgot to take backup.” This is even worse when you make yourself comfortable thinking “I have my contacts and messages stored at other place. It’s fine I lost a few new ones” and then suddenly you came to know that you have also lost to the original device media content e.g. sample pictures, videos, music and wallpapers. There you can’t have an excuse to yourself like you had with losing your contacts or messages.
TIP: So the tip is that always think once before you go to format or hard reset your devices.
But this post is not only to give you a tip. Getting straight to the issue you are here for, in case if you have formatted or have done hard reset your Nokia N9 (like me) without considering and taking backup. You probably will be missing the original content that came with built-in your Nokia N9. Here we have the original content of Nokia N9 to download with the help of a nice friend Farhan from SenseApplied, he (on my request) managed to get the content from another N9 and posted live for US. Thank you Farhan :)

Could you please telle me where I must paste the wallpapaers? I have no .wallpapers file in my phone! :-s Thanks!
1st; make sure it's ".wallpapers" (without double quotes)
2nd; this directory is hidden in the phone's file system. So try after enabling "hidden files and folders" in your windows explorer
or you can try File Transfer via SSH as explained in the following tutorial.

If you choose SSH way, you must see the ".wallpapers" directory in following path
"/home/user/MyDocs"
I shouldn't have hard reset my device :-( Even in mass storage mode, the file /.wallpapers is not there, I don't know why it disappeared and it seems a little complicated to do it with SSH. The worst is the hard reset didn't resolve my connection problem...
I've tried with SSH but it ask me a password and I don't know what it is...
I've finally resolved my problem! By downloading a new wallpaper on Nokia Store, the file has magically appeared again! Yes!
