Gmail app for iOS now available in App Store again with bug fixes

Gmail app for iOS is again available in App Store after two weeks when Google pulled it back from the store right within a few hours of first availability. As of November 2nd, Gmail app was first made available to the iOS devices which later was removed due to the bugs found in notifications system of the application that caused the notifications to be broken and displayed error messages. The fact was notified via @Gmail as follows.

Now after two weeks the Gmail app for the iOS devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch has made available again in the App Store with the bugs got fixed.

The good thing is that Google learnt from feedback, what users had given during the very short period when the Gmail app was public before pulling it back and mentioned to add these features and improvements in later updates/releases of the application as for now they are just getting started with the Gmail app for iOS. As well the handling of image HTML messages have already been improved following the user comments.

In the short time the app was public we received a lot of helpful feedback and feature requests. This included requests for everything from bigger features like multiple account support to customizations like improved notifications and mobile specific signatures.

We’re just getting started with the Gmail app for iOS and will be iterating rapidly to bring you more features, including all the ones listed above plus many more. Based on your comments we have already improved our handling of image HTML messages – they are now sized to fit to the screen and you can pinch to zoom in.
