Following the teaser “What’s up at Nokia”, the Finish company has launched a new member in Asha QWERTY family of phones. The new Nokia Asha 210 has been designed with a dedicated “WhatsApp” key having deeply linked into social share gallery. Being the first ever phone with a dedicated “WhatsApp” key, Nokia Asha 210 also brings the lifetime free WhatsApp subscription to the user of it. Of course this will not cover any mobile network data plans. Well in Pakistan, if you are a Ufone subscriber, you may have the opportunity of using their specific data plan for unlimited usage of WhatsApp for Rs. 30/- per month. Nokia Asha 210, according to Nokia, will be targeting emerging markets while providing a QWERTY keyboard experience with messaging. Priced at $72, Nokia Asha 210 will be available in Nokia’s traditional colors range of black, white, yellow, cyan and megenta and will start shipping this quarter. Feature wise, Nokia Asha 210 will be available in both the single SIM and Dual SIM variants. As well the WhatsApp will support both of the variants. WhatsApp & Nokia GPAD: The launch of Asha 210 does signify WhatsApp’s availability on Dual SIM devices. We are working on extending it to other Dual SIM devices. Features include 2 MP camera with a dedicated camera key, Nokia’s exclusive “Slam” feature which allows consumers to share multimedia content like photos and videos with nearby friends instantly. Slam works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam – Slam’ currently not compatible with iOS and Windows Phone devices.
