Semi-Restore: How to Restore your Current iOS 5.0 – 6.1.2 without Losing Jailbreak

If you are aware of the happening in iOS jailbreak community, you would know that the last iOS version that was compatible with Evasi0n untethered jailbreak was the iOS 6.1.2 which Apple has stopped signing after the the release of iOS 6.1.3 and the current 6.1.4. Well it’s case since long that Apple does that. And most (in fact) all of those who rely on a jailbreak stay without upgrading to the newer version until there’s been a good untethered jailbreak solution for the latest iOS versions.

But the problem occurs when you face issues with your running iOS version due to damaged system files and end up with a need to restore your current iOS version which was not possible unless you have your SHSH blobs saved. Here comes the Semi-Restore utility application for Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

The Semi-Restore supports all the versions of iOS taking from 5.0 through 6.1.2 and works as easily as you just need run the application while having your iPhone with a supported iOS version connected and click the button title “Semi-restore”. You do not need to do anything more but just wait a few minutes, say 5 to 10 or so.

1- Just download the semi-restore for your computer.

2- Run the semi-restore utility and connect your iPhone to the computer via USB cable.

3- Click the “semi-restore” button.

Wait for the utility to do everything else including making your iPhone ready with nearly stock iOS version that you had with the jailbreak preserved.

Yes there are no more steps to count. But for your convenience there is a video demonstration below on youtube.
