Developers get an early look at new features in Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1

Microsoft’s first update to Windows Phone 8.1 has started rolling out to developers which technically makes its way to any device registered to receive Preview for Developers releases. It’s Microsoft’s App Studio program that lets you register to receive this or any other updates prior to the public release.

Last week Microsoft announced about this update and delivered on time as promised.  The update 1 contains some promising features as Live Folders – to let you organize the live tiles on start screen, Multiple Selection – giving ability to select multiple messages recent calls entry or contacts and perform an action at once, Apps Cornerlets you pick apps and make a list on the phone if you are an enterprise individual and want to give this phone to someone in your organization allowing him access to that specific list of apps, Alarmsnow allow you to customize the snooze time as per your requirement for opening your eyes in your specified interval of alarm alerts. Features and updates also include Accessory Apps with new support for accessories, Internet Sharing via Bluetooth, L2TP/IPSec support in VPN etc. More about the features in Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1
