The most popular brand in smartphones Apple iPhone is now going to be officially available in Pakistan in just a couple of days. The latest flagships of Apple, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been put up for pre-registration on Ufone’s website while on the other hand Telenor has also disclosed about its plans of starting pre-orders for iPhone 6 next month.

There is no need to tell that currently the Apple smartphones are imported in Pakistan by capable retailers via other sources and they usually sell iPhone and iPads in Pakistan according to their own prices which mostly are higher than the global price. More importantly you don’t get warranty or other insurance plans with your Apple smartphone. With the official launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, you will be able to purchase on official vendor prices which will mostly be around the global price of unlocked iPhone and it will also include warranty as well as add-on offers and free services like 3G internet. However local sales tax will be applied.
Recently, Ufone has started online pre-registration for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus   while the pre-orders are expected to start today, for what you probably will need to reach out at their customer center. Telenor on the other side has published on their facebook fan page that they are starting to take pre-orders on December 5th, 2014 while the the shipment will start on December 11th.

There are no words about the official price tag from any operator but our guess is that the price after adding taxes will start from around Rs. 80,000/- for iPhone 6.

There is yet no authenticated information if the operators in Pakistan will sell iPhone with on-contract or off-contract plans. However we believe that they will not subsidize and will sell iPhone off-contract. As soon as we get anything more about the news, we’ll get you updated.

What do you think about iPhone being available in Pakistan officially.
