Lumia 535 Sneak Preview Pakistan and First Impressions

We, along side a few others, had a dinner with the guys from Microsoft Devices Pakistan. There we also had a chance to preview the Lumia 535 during the meet-up. The Lumia 535 was globally launched last month in Single SIM version and Dual SIM version.

We have learnt that, only the Dual SIM variant will be launched in Pakistan considering the local market demand. The retail price of the Lumia 535 Dual SIM will be Rs. 14,250/- that you will pay. The device has not yet been launched in Pakistan but Microsoft Devices has planned to launch the Lumia 535 officially in the country on December 4th, 2014. On the other hand, Microsoft Devices has also planned to spend time with regional markets and bloggers all over the country – in cities e.g. Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar etc.

While the Lumia 535 comes in the low-end range, it offers handful of impressive hardware features that surprise someone to be present in low-cost smartphone. As well there is another surprise that the Lumia 535 is not branded with “Nokia” and it’s all Microsoft Lumia from now on.

Lumia 535 comes with 5 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front-facing camera to help selfie addicts make better photos of themselves. In addition the Lumia 535 features 5-inch IPS LCD display with qHD (960 x 540) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 while it’s impressively powered up by 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM. On-board storage/memory of 8GB with support up to 128 GB via micro SD card. Additional 15 GB free OneDrive storage is also included. You will get the battery capacity of 1905 mAh with the Lumia 535.

Not only the hardware features, outfit of the Lumia 535 also has some improvement in solidity over its predecessors and feels better in quality. Lumia 535 also does not feature hardware capacitive Windows Phone keys under the screen and comes with the on-screen software rendered navigation bar (back, start, search buttons) like you have seen in the Lumia 630 as it comes with the Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim pre-loaded.

Unluckily we had not a chance to play with the device in depth while it was just a quick preview, we hope to have this low-budget Lumia 535 for a good time soon and bring to you an in-depth detailed review.
