Remix Ultra Tablet – A mixture of Microsoft Surface, Android and Windows

remix-ultra-tablet-1

The new Remix Ultra Tablet is a product from Jide Technology that resembles almost at everything with the Microsoft Surface and runs a modified version Android OS in pretty much the Microsoft Windows way.

Jide Technology is a venture of three ex-Google employees, Jeremy Zhou, David Ko, and Ben Luk who has used to work on the products such as Google Maps.

We know that Microsoft Surface has a decent and attractive design to impress anyone but this Ultra Tablet seems completely been designed with the Microsoft Surface in mind as it’s a complete rip-off. Keep the hardware aside, the Remix OS with its flat UI also presents to be more like Windows user interface running on a custom Android OS.

The Remix OS does show the flat user interface of the software running the tablet which has been quite popular among the users on other platforms including Android, iOS and Windows Phone. Additional task bar on the bottom of the screen with the icons hover-block again shows that you are looking at some Windows 8 screen. What other resembles is the range of apps in which you can see the mail client much similar to the Outlook app on Windows 8.1 OS.

The look-alike Surface, Ultra Tablet does not even lack the presence of the kickstand as well as the detachable keyboard. It runs with an Nvidia Tegra 4+1 processor on a 11.9″ screen with the full HD 1080p display and 2 GB of RAM.
