A month ago WhatsApp started beta testing with a select users to test their voice calling feature. The feature is now available for other public but still require an invitation call from a user already having the WhatsApp calling feature.
Download the latest version of WhatsApp for your Android device. The version 2.11.561 is the one said to be having voice calling feature.
After having updated with the listed version of WhatsApp, you will need to have an initial WhatsApp call from anyone who’s already having the voice calling feature.
Once you have received the call, disconnect and close the app, then re-open it. That’s when you will have a new tab on your WhatsApp screen – “Calls”.
Be noted that the voice calling is specifically a feature updated into the app itself as well as at their servers. So to use the feature you must need to update to the mentioned version of the WhatsApp or you won’t even be able to receive the initial invitation call – let alone the calling.
Just like with the web version of WhatsApp, we are also not impressed with the way of rolling-out of voice calling feature of the service.
Let us know below in the comment if you have got the feature on your hands or you are eagerly waiting for it to have.
