Along side the LG Nexus 5X, Google also has launched a larger version of Nexus flagship built by Chinese manufacturer, Huawei – Nexus 6P with 5.7 inch display.

Unlike the smaller version which just got a little bit larger from 5 inch to 5.2 inch, the Nexus 6P has just got a little bit smaller than its predecessor. Original Nexus 6 was actually had 6 inch display. Now it’s 5.7 inch display in the latest Nexus 6P while it maintains the resolution as WQHD (2560 x 1440) on the AMOLED display but upgraded to Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Nexus 6P features Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 64-bit 2 GHz octa-core processor and Adreno 430 GPU. Having support of 3 GB of RAM, Huawei’s Nexus smartphone comes in three variants with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage options.

The primary camera on Nexus 6P is identical to the smaller version, featuring 12.3 MP Sony imaging sensor of type 1/2.3 inch with 1.55μm pixel size. Laser auto focus and dual flash with the camera where the lens has the aperture opening of f/2.0. Nexus 6P also support 4K video recording. With a big jump from 2 MP in Nexus 6, front-facing camera on 6P is now 8 megapixel with support of HD video recording.

As per Google claims, the Nexus 6P is the most premium smartphone in the Nexus line-up with all-metal body and such other features like two front-facing speakers. Nexus 6P also equips with a fingerprints scanner on the back which captures fingerprint by just placing the finger on it. Like the smaller counterpart, the fingerprint scanner can be used to authorize payments with Android Pay or Play Store in addition to simply unlocking the screen and other security features.

Running on Marshmallow, the 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants of Nexus 6P are priced at $499, $549 and $649 respectively. An extended warranty of 2 years, Nexus Protect is also announced which can be purchased along side the Nexus 5X for additional $89.

Approximate prices in Pakistan would be Rs. 52,000/-, Rs. 58,000/-, and Rs. 68,000/- respectively for 32, 64 and 128 GB variants of Nexus 6P. But as usual, Google Nexus devices always are imported by local retailers and cost much more than expected. So if these devices don’t see an official release path to the Pakistani market, you should expect these prices as only a false hint.
