Cheezmall unexpectedly managed to sell 5000 units of Lenovo Zuk Z1 in a day which made them shutdown the sale temporarily to meet the demand.
The newly launched online store Cheezmall recently launched Lenovo’s Zuk Z1 on February 16, 2016. On the very first day, while not expecting, the online retailer received over 5000 orders for the smartphone and the they had to stop receiving more orders.
“The online retailer managed to sell 5000 units of the smart phone in the first 24 hours of the sale,” Cheezmall states in a press release. “The quantity of units sold exceeded all expectations and as a result we were forced to temporarily close the sale down as to meet the quota of already sold units,” the retailer added.
The Zuk Z1 was being offered on the website for a price of PKR 34,999 and included a smartwatch as well as a 12GB internet package for Zong users. Customers had the option of paying via Mobicash apart from the standard means of payment, which really opened the gateways of online shopping for those who don’t have credit cards and such.
After seeing such a success and overwhelming public reception, we are happy to announce that we will continue to introduce more brands to the country as well as re-launching the sale on Zuk Z1, after meeting the demand of the current sale quota, on March 7, 2016.
This truly has been a great experience for the company and has only encouraged the company to further push the limits of E-Commerce in Pakistan by introducing a healthy competition among the current online retailers.
