OPPO claims to have invented World’s Fastest Smartphone Charger

This time, OPPO didn’t have any smartphone to announce but they didn’t miss out the chance to show over at world’s largest exhibition Mobile World Congress, with the world’s fastest smartphone charger.

Slow charging times and underwhelming battery life is a consistent problem for smartphone users. To address this problem, OPPOhas presented to you, the Super VOOC Flash Charge technology.

Super VOOC Flash Charge technology is an improvement over the original VOOC Flash Charger introduced in 2014 which OPPO claims to have sold 18 million of it worldwide. According to its makers, Original VOOC Flash Charge was able to charge by giving users 2 hours of talk after just 5 minutes of charging. Super VOOC, the latest invention by the company, will make it possible for you to have a full 10 hours of talk time with only five minutes of charging. Putting your phone (with a 2500mAh battery) on charge for 15 minutes can give you full bars.

On technical notes, Super VOOC Flash Charge uses a 5V low-voltage pulse-charge algorithm that ensures a low-temperature charge which is considered as safe for the battery as well as dynamically regulating the current to charge the phone in the shortest time possible.

For this Super VOOC Charge to work as claimed, I’ll need to have a customized super battery, as well as a new adapter, cable and connector made using premium, military-grade materials. Which of course OPPO have to put them all in their next flagship (may be?). Importantly, Super VOOC Flash Charge supports Micro USB or type-C interfaces, in compliance with the global standard.
