Hands-on with Samsung Galaxy Note 7 [Videos]

Samsung today announced Galaxy Note 7 officially at Unpacked 2016 event along with a new Gear VR which is backward compatible. Here is the hands-on with Galaxy Note 7 along side officially released product videos showing off prominent features.

Galaxy Note 7 weighs 169 grams and has a Dual-edge display size as 5.7 inch and Quad HD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It serves at the pixel density of 518 ppi.

The smartphone is powered by an 14nm Octa-core 64bit processor and 4GB LPDDR4 RAM along with 64GB (UFS 2.0) of internal storage with option to expand up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone comes with a USB Type-C connectivity and is backed by a 3500mAh battery which can be charged with a wired or wireless connection.

Note 7 features a new iris scanner in addition to fingerprint scanner and comes running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. It comes with dual-pixel 12MP camera with f/1.7 lens aperture on the back with Smart OIS whereas the front camera is 5MP with f/1.7 lens aperture.

When compared to the Note 5, the Galaxy Note 7 is about 30 percent more powerful at CPU, while at graphics the Note 7 is 50 percent more power than its predecessor.

A new range of accessories will also be available to be used with the Galaxy Note7, including the new S View Standing Cover, a light and portable cover that can be used to prop the device at a 60-degree angle for easy viewing of content, as well as an IP68 water resistant Backpack for on-the-go charging.
