Mobilink-Warid On-Net Packages/Tariff Now Available for Subscribers

Mobilink Jazz announces new On-Net packages with Warid customers following the merger. The new portfolio comprises two prepaid bundles and three postpaid tariff plans – which will treat Jazz-Warid traffic as On-Net.

These packages will be available for both Warid and Jazz customers with same pricing and opt-in mechanism to ensure uniform customer experience. That means, not only Mobilink customers but Warid customers will also be able to opt-in to these packages.

With these new packages in place, more than 50 million customers will be able to talk On-Net between Jazz and Warid numbers. Prepaid customers can choose between Daily and Weekly Bundles while postpaid customers can subscribe to three different tariff plans J-300, J-600 & J-999.

Tariff & Pricing

Prepaid:
  • Daily package: PKR 13/-
  • Weekly package: PKR 120/-
Postpaid:
  • J-300: PKR 359/-
  • J-600: PKR 717/-
  • J-999: PKR 1194/-

Each package offers an amplified number On-Net & Off-Net minute, and comes bundled with Data and SMS plans for different price points.

Last year in November, VimpelCom announced to merge with Global Telecom Holding (GTH), Warid Telecom Pakistan and Bank Alfalah (Dhabi Group shareholders). With this merger, the combined Mobilink and Warid entity has become the leading telecommunications provider of 2G, 3G and LTE services in Pakistan, providing higher quality national voice and data coverage, faster downloads, and a wider portfolio of products and services to people.

Following the merger, the transition between the companies is in process and this development can be considered as part of it as well. Cross-reach of customers to data services from both the companies, Mobilink’s 3G and Warid’s 4G is yet to be transitioned officially, however there have been reports of Warid customers to avail 3G services soon.
