Remaining Galaxy Note 7 devices to Stop Charging on December 19th

Samsung trying hard to completely vanish the Galaxy Note 7 from planet

After recalling again and again, the Korean smartphone maker has issued a final note probably to its customers that any remaining Note 7 devices won’t charge sooner or later if they don’t return or get it replaced.

Remember that Galaxy Note 7 was the most exploding smartphone as reported around the globe that Samsung had to once recall the devices for replacement units. The Note 7 devices were also banned in the mean time in public areas like airports and hotels etc. However the replaced units of the devices also continued to be reported as exploding, that made the Korean giant halt the production of Galaxy Note 7 completely and finish with its recall programme to vanish the effected devices from the planet.

Now after having more than 93% of the devices back home, Samsung, once again, has issued another note to the US customers who owned the original and/or the replacement Galaxy Note 7 devices, telling that the devices will stop charging on December 19th after a software update. If you have not returned your device, you should do immediately as you have the option of Note 7 refund or exchange.

The consumers in Europe, where actually the Note 7 was never gone on sale, who had received the devices during the pre-order phase, will have limit to charge their devices. Samsung has told that from 15th of December, all Note 7 devices in the region will receive a battery limiting software update that will cause the devices charge up to maximum of 30% only. This will give consumers a push towards getting their devices returned or exchanged as soon as possible.

Also note that before stopping all the Note 7 devices to charge, Samsung has once limited the US Note 7 devices to charge up to 60% just like the update to hit in Europe.
