NSG – India’s Armed Force’s Website Hacked, Indian Occupied Kashmir is the Case

According to Times of India (TOI), Pakistani hackers allegedly have hacked the official website of Indian special armed forces under the domain name “nsg.gov.in”. Referring to the report by TOI, the website was hacked on Sunday, January 1st.

The group, that calls itself as “Alone.Injector”, also linked to a facebook profile in the defaced page on the website. This successful hacking attempt follows the other attempts which have been made recently in response to the current troubles between Pakistan and India regarding unrest in Indian occupied Kashmir.

TOI, according to their sources, supposed that the hacking attempt was carried out by Pakistan-affiliated hackers, however exact details were not yet ascertained. India’s National Informatics Centre (NIC) is already taking care of the hacked website for remedial actions.

The report also referred to a phrase snippet from the message which was written by the hackers as “Indian NSG Commandos hacked Pakistan Zindabad,”. We got the exact full message which was last found on the webpage.

The message is in Roman Urdu that uses a very common (not so aggressive) but abusive word for Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The message also uses some sarcastic approach to deliver a response to Indian securities over the verbal threats India has made to Pakistan in recent months. The group also seconded the version of Pakistani authorities (like any Pakistani will do) over the surgical strikes allegedly carried out by India.

Investigating a bit more about it, we have found that the hacking attempt was carried out even before the date as Times of India has reported. According to Google Cache the website had been hacked before December 30th, 2016. That’s almost over three days now when still the Indian authorities have not able to recover the website and make it live.

If you are interested, what the hackers first put after the defacement. The group wrote on the page by denoting “Do You Know Why You Got HACKED?” followed by “Free Kashmir .. Freedom is our goal..”  The group also posted some photos of the protests going on in Indian occupied Kashmir for months as well as their intention is the demand of Kashmir’s freedom. They also referred to an Indian Penal Code, Act no. 45 of 1860 – “CHAPTER-II SEC 18: India.- India means the territory of India excluding the State of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Following are the snippets of text from the hacked website as of December 30th, 2016.

“This institutionalized impunity with which the killings of civilians by military and police forces in Jammu and Kashmir continues should be a source of shame for India which propagates to be a democracy! ”

“Kashmir does not want militarized governance – STOP killing children, raping women and imprisoning the men! They just want freedom! Freedom from the evil of the Indian Military!
Ghandi said – Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life. What would a man not pay for living? Everyday 100s of innocent people are abused, raped and even killed in Kashmir by the Indian army, a third of the deaths are children, we don’t want war, take back your men, your guns and go back to where you came from,”
