Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8+ official launch event held in Pakistan

Following the launch in New York, Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices have now launched in Pakistan. This prestigious launch event was held on 5th May 2017 at Hazoori Bagh, Shahi Qila in Lahore; the historical garden aging back to 1818 which is encircled by the icons of Mughal culture.

Samsung Pakistan has already started taking pre-orders for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in the country and offering incentives worth Rs. 6,000/- whereas Jazz (formerly Mobilink) is offering free data services with the purchase of Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+. Galaxy S8 costs Rs. 87,000/- in Pakistan and Galaxy S8+ is priced at Rs. 97,000/-

The Galaxy S8 features a 5.8 inch display while the S8+ has a larger 6.2 inch screen. Both support QHD resolution of 2960 x 1440 and have Super AMOLED display. The duo of the flagship devices feature Samsung’s proprietary Exynos 8895, 1.7GHz + 2.5GHz Octa-Core system-on-chip (SoC) and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. microSD card supported up to 256GB in a hybrid SIM slot which can serve with 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM + 1 microSD card.

Galaxy S8 and S8+ both feature 12 megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 lens aperture and and 8 megapixel camera on the front with same f/1.7 lens aperture. The rear camera’s sensor has 1.4µm sized pixels and can record 4K videos.

Galaxy S8 and S8+ run Android 7.0 Nougat OS where S8 is backed by a 3000mAh battery while the S8+ has an extended 3500mAh battery.
