Nokia 9 with larger display than Nokia 8 in works, confirms HMD Rep

After staying in rumors and speculations for long with multiple names, the first Nokia flagship was unveiled just recently by HMD Global – Nokia 8. The other name “Nokia 9” has just stepped forward in the rumors to be the next flagship.

A representative of HMD Global – the new home of Nokia phones, according to 4pda, has hinted that another phone is in works with even larger screen than of Nokia 8 – “to meet the needs of absolutely all users”.

The phone in reference has yet no name but according to rumors, you can safely call it as Nokia 9. The larger screen of the phone may measure between 5.5 to 5.7 inches if we go by previous leads. Nokia 8 was launched with 5.3-inch QHD display which is even smaller than the mid-ranger Nokia 6.

Well, as a cherry on the cake representatives of HMD Global made a hint that in the future we are waiting for another smartphone – with a larger screen than in Nokia 8, to meet the needs of absolutely all users.

If this is a phone which HMD has plans to launch in separate event, there has to be more factors revolving around the purported Nokia 9 than just a larger screen. According to rumors, the phone might sport the same Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB of internal storage.

The phone may also have an iris scanner and could be water/dust resistant with IP68 certification. On the imaging side, the phone might have the same dual rear camera configuration as the Nokia 8. The supposed Nokia 9, in result, may cost even higher for €750
