HMD may bring new Camera UI on Nokia Android Phones

HMD Global official has hinted that a new camera user interface might be in development that would feature Nokia Android phones.

Nokia Camera UI on initial Windows Phone devices which later had become Lumia Camera after the Finnish phone makers’ mobile business was fully acquired by Microsoft. Last year, the acquisition was handed over to HMD Global and transition of relevant products ownership transfer started taking place. The camera UI was one of the great deals that transferred from Nokia to Microsoft and had to forward on to HMD Global.

In July, exactly the design of the camera user interface that we had experienced with Nokia/Lumia devices running Windows Phone or Windows 10 platform, was popped out in news of being transferred under the ownership of HMD Global. At that point we knew that some time sooner or later, that popular camera UI will make its way to the newer Nokia devices running Android platform.

Probably now is the time for Nokia Android fans to get some excitement. Juho Sarvikas – Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, has hinted that existed camera user interface on Nokia Android phones will be updated when question asked on twitter.

Right in the discussion below, another user referred about the Lumia camera UI willing to have it back on Nokia Android phones. Juho put on the glasses and agreed with him, hinting that they are most probably working on exactly the same thing their fans are expecting.

That user interface has been one of the best user interfaces for camera operations on a smartphone. I have also mentioned in my reviews but there have been a couple years gone and we have equally better user interfaces. Huawei’s camera user interface is currently my favorite among all. I’ll personally want Nokia’s best things back on the Android platform.
