MediaTek Helio P90 to come with full AI Power – Is it MT6779 with impressive Geekbench score?

MediaTek Processor

With the launch of Helio P70 in October, MediaTek left you with a teaser that the company is bringing a more powerful processor by the end of this year. Now the company has revealed the name of the processor as Helio P90 which will be running “groundbreaking AI”.

MediaTek has started teasing its followers on Twitter about its new mid-range chip. The new Helio P90 is supposed to deliver a powerful, efficient and groundbreaking AI.

With this news on hand, we can safely say that the rumored Helio P80 will not come to life. Instead the speculated information and the features may appear in the form of Helio P90.

Here is what Android Authority recently shared about the upcoming MediaTek’s Helio P90 chipset. The folks didn’t mention about the image below if it really was the chipset in subject. However that’s what we assume as the MT6779 is currently an unreleased chipset by MediaTek that only appeared on Geekbench recently – see after the break.

When appeared on famous benchmark’s list, the chip was supposed to be the Helio X40. But considering a report published earlier in November that MediaTek has paused working on high-end Helio X series chips, it had to be the mid-range Helio P chip.

Now that we can see the actual chip above, you can assume the following Geekbench score of the upcoming Helio P90 processor with the “groundbreaking AI” that MediaTek has just started teasing with.

According to rumors and leaked benchmark information, you are looking at a most powerful mid-range chipset. If all that goes good in real time, MediaTek is going to break the boundaries with its upcoming Helio P90. It’s not far from being announced officially by the end of this year, and the year 2018 is just about to end.
