After speculation and teasers, Realme has finally revealed itself officially in Pakistan with two smartphones. The company has announced the availability of a mid-range Realme 2 Pro and an entry-level Realme C1 in Pakistan market.
Realme, at an event held in Lahore, launched its first two smartphones in the country. With an obvious target consumers in mind, the brand first chose to bring an entry level smartphone – Realme C1 and a mid-ranger Realme 2 Pro.
Witnessing both the phones, we can tell that the brand is really focused on the design elements. If you put the features aside for while, you will notice that both the phones have been designed with equal concentration. If you quickly read the prices, you will know that how different these two are going to be.
Realme 2 Pro
The Realme 2 Pro comes with a large 6.3-inch screen that is an IPS LCD display impressively covering around 91% of the whole front. The company referred the water-drop display as “dewdrop” as their own convention. The 19.5:9 display has a full HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels serving at the pixel density of approximately 408 PPI and it’s all covered with Gorilla Glass 3.

The 2 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm’s fast mid-range SoC, Snapdragon 660 AIE with on-board AI. The octa-core processor is coupled with an Adreno 512 GPU for above moderate gaming with 113% increase in CPU and 102% increase in GPU performance.
Paired with a massive 8GB of RAM, the Realme 2 Pro comes with high capacity 128GB and fast UFS 2.1 internal storage. The phone packs with a 3500 mAh battery which is lab-rated for 16.5h standby, 12h music, 10h video playback and 12.5h internet surfing.
Realme 2 Pro features dual camera setup on the back – a 16MP main camera is coupled with a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera has a 1/2.8″ Sony IMX398 image sensor under the hood and a large lens with f/1.7 aperture. It supports dual-pixel fast focusing while the on-board AI can detect 16 types of scenes.

On the front, the phone features a 16MP selfie camera with face detection. Interestingly, the camera analyzes the age, gender and skin complexion of multiple individuals in a group photo and provides visual enhancements for everyone of them.
Other features include AI Facial unlock, fingerprint unlock, Smart PA for better sound quality. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.2 on top and will be available in three colors – Black Sea, Blue Ocean and Ice Lake (or aqua/light blue).
Realme C1
The Realme C1 comes with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display and has a screen to body ratio of around 89%. The display has a more common and wider notch on top and the aspect ratio is little less taller with 19:9. It’s an HD+ resolution display with of 1520×720 pixels serving at the pixel density of around 270 PPI. C1 also features the Gorilla Glass 3 on the screen.
Realme C1 is powered by Snapdragon 450 SoC with an octa-core processor coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU. Unfortunately, the phone comes only with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone, however, supports expandable memory via a dedicated microSD card slot, like the Realme 2 Pro.

Realme C1 also features a dual-camera setup on the back with a pair of 13MP and 2MP cameras. The main camera has a lens aperture of f/2.2 with autofocus capability. Whereas the front camera equips with only 5MP sensor also with f/2.2.
Running Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, the Realme C1 layers with the ColorOS 5.1. The phone is backed by a large 4230 mAh battery which is lab-rated as: 18h music, 15h video playback, 10h gaming and 18h browsing. Realme C1 supports 5V+2A charging but ships with a 1A charger bundled in retail box. The phone will be available in two colors – Mirror Black and Navy Blue.
Pricing and Availability
Realme C1 with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage is retailed at PKR 18,999. You will also have a chance to buy this phone for PKR 17,999 exclusively from Daraz when the first sale will start on 08:00 PM, January 9th, 2019. The Realme C1 will be sold exclusively on Daraz till January 31st, 2019. After that the Realme C1 will be available to buy from 600 authorised stores nationwide.
The retail price of Realme 2 Pro is PKR 46,999, however you will get it for PKR 43,999 during special sale from Daraz which will start on 08:00 PM, January 10th, 2019. There is no word for how long Realme 2 Pro will keep running with specially offer on select sale hours from Daraz.
