Huawei shipped over 10 million units of Mate 20 series phones

Huawei has announced that the company has shipped over 10 million Huawei Mate 20 series devices globally.

Launched in October 2018 and available from November last year, the company achieved the milestone in only five months.

In the announcement, Huawei stated that Mate 20 Series has achieved not only exceptional sales performance since launch but also received widespread recognition and praise from the world’s top technology media.”

Huawei marketed the high-end variants of the smartphone with the focus on photography – more specifically the zoom and ultra wide-angle camera. But it’s not yet clear that which Mate 20 variant was shipped the most in that lot. Whether it also includes the mid-ranger Mate 20 lite or only the higher end ones – Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro were counted.

With the upcoming Huawei P30, the company is already heading to take the top spot in global market share. The achievement of selling that much units of in a short period of time indeed suggests that the company may reach its goals sooner than later.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro has also received the “Best Smartphone” GLOMO award the GSMA – organizers of MWC and the leading mobile industry body. Huawei believed that the company received the award for providing innovated devices to consumers.

“This award comes as a result of Huawei CBG’s focus on creating value for consumers through innovation which has culminated breakthroughs in performance, photography, AI and more – all of which can be seen in the HUAWEI Mate 20 Series.”
