Realme 64MP Camera Phone

The smartphone imaging race is going quite at a pace with all those higher-resolution sensors including 40MP and 48MP cameras. While every other smartphone maker is working hard to improve its camera, the Chinese company, Realme seems to be gaining momentum in the same.

Since Samsung announced the high-res 64MP image sensor last month, the rumor-mill started suggesting that the multiple companies are already working on to put the same sensor in their smartphones. Xiaomi’s “Redmi” was the first brand earthed with among rumors to feature this high-res camera. But now it seems the OPPO’s “Realme” is even faster to bring it on.

Well, we have now witnessed the first camera samples shot with Realme smartphone, courtesy of CEO Madhav Sheth and CMO Xu Qi Chase. The images show a city photographed were taken with a 64MP AI Quad Camera as suggested by the watermark. There are also images, 100% crops put together with competitors smartphone cameras.

The Twitter post compares the 64MP camera on Realme, with a 48MP camera on some other phone (watermark blurred). The images obviously show the samples taken with Realme smartphone have greater clarity.

According to the official’s statements from Realme, the new smartphone with 64MP camera is expected to release in the second half of the year. That’s exactly what Samsung has stated in its press release of the same sensor.

So that’s not very near and we shouldn’t assume any dates. However we can assume that in that period of time there could be lot of changes in the industries. We can even see more things pop up in the mean while and we may have some similar competition from other companies, who knows?

What ever it is, it’s believed that launch of such a phone will first occur in China and later following in other regions including India and Pakistan.
