Vivo is all set to launch Vivo S1 Pro in Pakistan this week. Vivo Pakistan will announce the availability of Vivo S1 Pro in the country in an event in Lahore on January 2nd, 2020.
The new Vivo S1 Pro comes packed with a massive 8GB RAM accompanied by 128GB of internal storage. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor and features a quad-camera setup on it’s back.
Vivo has invited media for the launch event to be held in Lahore, Pakistan. The invitation card is designed in a way to reflect the rear camera module of the Vivo S1 Pro. A squared-diamond shape with the invitation detail. The tag line reads “Upgrade Your Style” with the S1 Pro, whereas the “O” represents the in-display fingerprint sensor.
The later part of the card has just mentioned the date and timing of the event. So it’s just two days ahead until we know some official stuff about the phone.
The company is supposed to reveal the pricing and memory configuration of the new Vivo S1 Pro during the launch event. The phone has currently been launched in a few regions including the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia. The phone is currently on pre-order in Bangladesh while it’s also expected to launch soon in India.
Vivo S1 Pro Features
The Vivo S1 Pro keeps an identical display as came with the original Vivo S1. The Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. 6.38-inch screen with a pixel density of around 404 PPI. In fact, the S1 Pro has an identical profile size with only a minor increase in thickness and weight as well.
The quad-camera setup is another upgrade over the original S1. It features a 48MP main rear camera, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, 2MP macro, and another 2MP depth sensor. The original S1 didn’t carry a dedicated macro camera.
It’s worth noting here that a good autofocus unit in an ultra-wide-angle camera could offer equally better macro shots. In addition, it would also offer stunning ultra-wide-angle shots, better than most fixed-focus units. I, of course, can’t tell about S1 Pro’s configuration until I use it.
The phone comes with an identical 32MP front-facing camera as came with Vivo S1.
The Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor is driving the phone with a clock speed of up to 2.0GHz. Coupled with 8GB of RAM, the phone has an internal storage of 128GB. MicroSD card is supported up to 256GB.
Unlike the original S1, the new S1 Pro features USB Type-C connectivity, yet it’s still USB2.0. In-display fingerprint sensor, 4500 mAh battery, and 18-watt fast charging remain as is. So are the same the Android 9 Pie and Funtouch OS 9.0.
Pricing and Availability
Expect Vivo S1 Pro to start with the pre-order phase on January 2nd, 2020 in Pakistan. The phone might be offered in three different base colors with different names or themes/tones — Black (Knight black, Mystic black, Glowing black), White (Fancy sky, Dreamy white), Blue (Jazzy blue, Crystal blue)
The official pricing of the phone is not yet known in Pakistan. Considering original Vivo S1’s current price tag and the S1 Pro’s pricing in other regions, the Vivo S1 Pro may cost around PKR 50,000/- in Pakistan.
