Huawei and UnionPay initially launched Huawei Pay service for the Chinese market on August 31, 2016. Today, Huawei Pay has officially been launched in Pakistan “marking an important milestone and laying a solid foundation for a broader global layout in the future.” The two companies already launched the service in Russia in December 2018.
