Vivo has launched the new Vivo S1 Pro in Pakistan with a surprise factor of its pricing. The phone costs way lower than we had expected considering the pricing in other regions as well as previously Vivo pricing in Pakistan.
Having considered the pricing in other regions and as well in Pakistan, with respect to taxes and duties, this phone was more likely to be priced around PKR 50,000. But at the launch event, Vivo Pakistan actually surprised us with retailing the price at PKR 43,999/- This price is equivalent to something, the phone is rumored to cost in India, where Vivo sells “Made in India” units. With respect to manufacturing or importing factor, the asking price of Vivo S1 Pro in Pakistan must be welcomed.
Not only this but with the features, the phone is going to give a tough time to the rivals in this price segment. Still, we can’t be sure of its realtime performance until we trial that phone. Till then, just have a look at the features below.
Like the original Vivo S1, the Vivo S1 Pro sports a Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The screen size is 6.38-inch with a pixel density of around 404 PPI. The phone has the support of Always-On-display.
Vivo S1 Pro comes with an upgraded quad-camera setup. A 48MP main rear camera is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, 2MP macro, and another 2MP depth sensor. The original S1 didn’t carry a dedicated macro camera. The phone comes with an identical 32MP front-facing camera as came with Vivo S1.
The Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor is driving the phone with a clock speed of up to 2.0GHz. It’s coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. MicroSD card is supported up to 256GB.
The new S1 Pro features USB Type-C connectivity, an in-display fingerprint sensor, 4500 mAh battery, and 18-watt fast charging. The phone runs on Android 9 Pie with the user interface of Funtouch OS 9.0.
Vivo S1 Pro will be available in two colors — Creamy White and Mystic Black. Vivo will start taking pre-orders from January 4th, 2020 and the phone will be available on January 11th, 2020.
With a single memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, the new Vivo S1 Pro costs PKR 43,999 (or ~$284) in Pakistan.
That price is really competitive for other brands to catch up in this segment.
