Following the latest partnership with Zeiss, Vivo has now launched Vivo X60 Pro+. The very first Vivo smartphone to feature Zeiss optics, X60 Pro+ packs with a quad-camera setup co-engineered with the German optics company.
Vivo and Zeiss officially announced their partnership just last month where they disclosed about the then-upcoming X60 series (the premium Vivo smartphone series) to feature “Vivo ZEISS co-engineered imaging system”. Later last month, the company announced the first two smartphones of the series – X60 and X60 Pro. Today it launched the fully powered high-end smartphone Vivo X60 Pro+
The latest Vivo X60 Pro+ features a Snapdragon 888 chipset with an octa-core processor. Vivo X60 Pro+ ships in two memory configurations of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage or 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The 6.56-inch screen features an AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (2376×1080). The display delivers 1300 nits of maximum brightness and supports HDR10/HDR10+ with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. All with a battery capacity of 4200mAh.
Unlike the existing X60 and X60 Pro, the X60 Pro+ packs with an even better camera setup. The main camera here is a 50-megapixel Samsung’s GN1 with optical image stabilization. The secondary 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera features a Sony IMX598 image sensor and Vivo’s micro-gimbal stabilization. The third one is a 32MP sensor with a telephoto (2x zoom) lens specialized for portrait shots. Finally, an 8MP shooter with a periscope structure to support 5x optical zoom.
Apart from sturdy camera hardware, the Vivo X60 Pro+ also has a set of key software features to improve in photography. It supports night portraits, ultra-wide (and panoramic) night shots, color restoration of black and white photos, and a 100MP high-resolution mode that uses the dual-pixel-based Samsung’s 50MP ISOCELL image sensor.
The Vivo X60 Pro+ is available in China in two variants; the 8GB+128GB variant costs CNY 4,998 (~$772) and the 12GB+256GB variant costs CNY 5,998 (~$927). The X60 Pro+ is available in two color variants – gray leather, and orange leather. Expect Vivo X60 series to launch in other regions from later March 2021.
