Vivo has launched its latest mid-range smartphone, Vivo Y51s, in Pakistan. This new addition to the youth-oriented Y series boasts with an 8GB RAM along with a 128 GB storage.
The Vivo Y51s features a large 6.58-inch screen with IPS LCD display sporting full HD+ resolution of 2408×1080 pixels. Combined with an 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory, the Vivo Y51s features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor.
The phone runs the Android operating system with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 11 on top. It comes with the support of a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.
The massive battery will charge up to 70% in just 64 minutes, as claimed by Vivo. “With AI power-saving technology, a single full charge can provide 17.9 hours of online HD movie streaming or 9.9 hours of resource-intensive games,” Vivo briefs in the announcement.
Vivo Y51s features a 48MP main rear camera paired with a secondary 8MP camera for ultra-wide-angle and a super macro shots. There is a third 2MP depth sensor for bokeh shots and portraits. The camera supports super night mode that uses a multi-frame noise reduction algorithm to reduce the noise in photos in dark situations. On the front, there is a single 16MP selfie camera.
The rear camera features electronic stabilization (EIS) technology to take ultra-stable videos while running, cycling, of people or faraway landscape.
Vivo Y51s features an in-built Audio booster with specially designed unique Super Audio sound effects. The phone comes with Vivo’s Multi-turbo 4.0 feature for gaming to reduce stuttering and lag, especially when too many applications are running simultaneously in the background.
The new phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that, as company claims, “turns on the display and unlocks the phone at the same time effortlessly.” Alternatively, with Face Wake, the phone is unlocked when you pick up and wake it.

The Vivo Y51s is currently available for pre-order and will be available in the two colour options – Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony. Available from January 16, 2021, the phone costs Rs. 39,999 in Pakistan.
Vivo offers a one-year warranty for Y51s along with 15 days free replacement and 6 months warranty for accessories.
