POCO, a Xiaomi sub-brand, has launched the new POCO M3 Pro 5G in Pakistan on Friday. It’s touted to be the most affordable smartphone with 5G connectivity today.
The new POCO phone is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor. This is the very first POCO smartphone to make use of the MTK Dimensity chipset. It’s based on a 7nm process and maintains lower power consumption for a long-lasting battery.
Along with an integrated 5G modem, the device supports dual 5G standby, providing users with 5G that’s always on without physically swapping out SIM cards.
Furthermore, the Dimensity 700 chipset sports an octa-core CPU architecture, with two performance cores of Cortex-A76 clocked at 2.2 GHz. The CPU is paired with the Mali-G57 GPU that delivers an additional 30% of performance density and energy efficiency. The phone packs with the UFS 2.2 storage technology.
POCO M3 Pro 5G features a 6.5-inch screen with a Full HD+ display that supports up to a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone also changes the display refresh rate automatically between 30Hz, 50Hz and 60Hz to save power. The screen features a hole-punch front camera.
The phone carries a triple camera setup that packs a 48MP main camera along with a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera comes with the software features, such as Night mode, Time-lapse video, and Timed burst.
Under the hood, there is a large 5000mAh battery that can last up to 2+ days according to the company’s claim. The phone features 18-watt fast charging support and comes with a 22.5-watt charger in the box.
In addition, the phone comes with the utility features like an IR blaster, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Prices and Availability
POCO M3 Pro 5G comes in two variants, 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. Both variants will be available for purchase online from June 4, 2021. Customers will get three colour options to choose from, POCO Yellow, Power Black, and Cool Blue.
The company has set an early bird price of PKR 29,999 and PKR 32,999 respectively for the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the POCO M3 Pro 5G.
