Vivo X70 Pro+

Vivo X70 series is all up for sale officially in China with over a dozen variants of standard X70, X70 Pro and the X70 Pro+ models on Vivo’s official online store in the homeland.

The latest X70 series majorly focuses on camera and photography with all the siblings at a distinct level of expertise. The big brother X70 Pro+ features a 50MP quad-camera setup, the middle man X70 Pro also has four cameras while the little one carries three camera units on their back.

The top X70 Pro+ features four cameras on the back with a 50-megapixel main shooter. Under the hood, there is a 1/1.3″ type Samsung GN1 image sensor, an f/1.57 ZEISS lens. The second one is the 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens offering a 114° angle of view.

The third one is a 12MP camera for portraits with 50mm equivalent (2x optical zoom). Underlying is the IMX663 sensor. Another 8MP periscope camera comes with an OmniVision image sensor inside and a 125mm equivalent focal length (5x optical zoom). The camera supports up to 60x superzoom via software manipulation.

Interestingly, except for the 48MP ultra-wide-angle unit, all the other three have optical image stabilization (OIS). That ultra-wide one features micro pan-tilt stabilization instead. Additionally, alongside ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating, the X70 Pro+ features the first-ever proprietary Vivo V1 image processor that handles advanced AI to produce stunning images.

The Vivo X70 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 888+ chipset. The eight cores are divided into 1 core clocked at 3.0GHz, 3 cores at 2.41GHz, and 4 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The chip houses an Adreno-660 GPU.

The Pro+ comes with a pretty large screen of 6.78-inches and a hole punch with a 32MP selfie camera. It’s a Samsung made E5 AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200×1440. Screen to body ratio is around 92% and pixel density is around 517ppi. 120GHz refresh rate is supported.

Vivo used LTPO technology that helps dynamically adjusting display refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. The new E5 display also uses 25% less power compared to the older E4. If you are a gamer and wondering about touch sampling rate then it supports 300Hz.

The 4500 mAh battery comes with a 55-watt fast charging. The phone also supports wireless charging that’s also almost equally fast at up to 50-watt. The X70 Pro+ runs the Android 11 operating system with the new OriginOS 1.0 on top.

Other features include an IP68 rating for dust-proofing and water resistance. Design-wise, the X70 Pro+ wears faux leather on the back.
