Vivo launched the X70 Pro flagship in Pakistan on October 18th and started taking pre-orders. After a week or so, Vivo’s latest photography expert X70 Pro has now started shipping and is available for purchase nationwide.
The successor to X60 Pro, the new Vivo X70 Pro features a 6.56-inch curved edge screen with an AMOLED panel. It has a 1080p Full HD+ resolution and supports up to a 120Hz display refresh rate while the touch sampling rate is 240Hz. The phone is certified for HDR10+ content and a Hi-Res audio system.
The X70 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset with 5G connectivity – the 5G is currently not usable in Pakistan. The new smartphone features 256GB internal storage which is UFS 3.1 and it comes with 12GB RAM. Vivo’s Extended RAM 2.0 feature is also available that increases RAM space virtually to add up to 4GB into 12GB physical RAM.
With the properties like 183g weight and with 7.99mm thickness, X70 Pro would sell on its camera features at first as the company promotes it. The camera system comes with a quad-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main shooter, 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 12MP camera for portraits and an 8MP periscope camera for long distant shots.
The camera system has the ZEISS optics and T* coating on top. The main 50MP camera has an IMX766V sensor that Vivo notes as its custom revision of Sony’s commercial IMX766 image sensor. The same sensor was first shipped in IQOO 8 Pro. Vivo’s Gimbal Stabilization 3.0 is also helping the system for steady shots and videos. The main camera features an f/1.75 aperture lens.
The 12MP camera is equipped with a 50mm (equivalent focal length) lens with f/1.98 aperture which is, of course, considered the best for portrait shots. Along with it, the system offers ZEISS Style portrait modes for classic, distagon, sonnar, and biotar bokeh styles.
The 8MP telephoto camera, on the other hand, has a periscope lens that offers 5x optical zoom with a fixed 125mm equivalent focal length and f/3.4 aperture. In addition, the phone supports 60x HyperZoom which is a software-based enhancement of the zoom capability.
The X70 Pro offers Pro Cinematic Mode for filming in a Full Monitoring System. It also features VIS 5-Axis stability for much better steady video recording. The phone supports Super Night Video mode that records amazing night video footage while the Pure Night View gives you less ghoasting and stray light in night shots – thanks to ZEISS T* coating.
The X70 Pro runs the Android 11 operating system with Funtouch OS 12 on top. The phone is backed by a 4450 mAh battery with 44-watt fast charging. Additionally, the X70 Pro comes with an IR blaster to control your home appliances which support infrared remote control.
