Vivo, today, has launched its V23 5G smartphone with exceptional photography features for eye-popping portraits and selfies all packaged with a trendsetting design and high-performance 5G experience.
The top features of the Vivo V23 5G include a 50MP AF Portrait Selfie and 8MP Super Wide-Angle Camera. The phone also provides nice performance for gaming. The exterior of the phone combines Vivo’s Metal Flat Frame design with a Color Changing Fluorite AG Design technology.
The 50-megapixel selfie camera has a customized JNV sensor with eye-autofocus. The front camera has an accompanied 8MP shooter for group or ultra-wide selfies. The front cam also has a support of Dual-LED flash along with a 4K video recording. The dual selfie camera comes with built-in modes of AI Extreme Night Portrait, Stylized portraits, Party Portrait, Multi-Style, etc.
Vivo V23 5G Camera Features
The Vivo V23 5G has a 64MP main camera on the back with an f/1.9 large aperture lens. The image sensor under the hood is Samsung’s ISOCELL GW1. The 1/1.72″ type sensor has a pixel size of 0.8μm, however, the pixel binning technology (or the Tetra pixel tech as Samsung calls it) allows it to perform as 1.6μm. The standard photo resolution is 16MP with higher image detail and less noise but the full 64-megapixel resolution is on demand.
Among the triple camera setup on the back, there is an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensor. These units allow taking super-wide-angle photographs at 16mm focal length and super macro shots respectively. The main camera supports Super Night Mode if you are concerned.
Design and Display
The V23 5G is all packed within a 7.39mm ultra-slim body and one-piece Metal Flat Frame. The new phone has a 6.44-inch large screen with a Full HD+ display resolution of 2400×1800 pixels. It features an AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate that also comes with HDR10+ support.
The phone does not come with a Gorilla Glass, however, it features a strengthened glass by Schott – known as Xensation Up. That’s what Vivo has been using in its X-Series smartphones previously.
Memory and Performance
The Vivo V23 5G is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset which is designed especially for the camera-centric purpose and a long-lasting battery. The octa-core processor has 2 performance cores of Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.5GHz, coupled with 6 A55 efficient cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Along with this, there is a Mali G68 GPU with four cores.
As far as memory is concerned, Vivo launched only a single variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It’s worth noting that the phone does have an 8GB RAM variant with 128GB storage in other regions. So you may expect it to launch in Pakistan sooner or later, though not confirmed by Vivo.
The phone also supports Vivo’s extended RAM 2.0 that can further enhance the onboard memory virtually. Other features include Liquid Cooling System and Ultra Game Mode for optimal gameplay.
The Vivo V23 is backed by a 4,200 mAh battery with 44-watt fast charging – claimed to charge 68% in 30 minutes. The phone runs Android 12 OS with the FuntouchOS 12 on top. The V23 doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack but offers USB Type-C and NFC connectivity and the latter is what could be based on regional markets.

The all-new Vivo V23 5G is currently available for pre-booking across Pakistan in 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM edition with the price tag of Rs. 89,999. Available in two color options of Stardust Black and Sunshine Gold, the Vivo V23 5G will start shipping from February 22, 2022.
