Vivo V23 5G set to launch in Pakistan this week – Everything you need to know

Vivo is ready to announce the launch of its latest Vivo V23 5G smartphone on February 15, 2022, the brand has officially confirmed. The prominent features of Vivo V23 include a dual selfie camera with a 50MP main shooter and a triple rear camera with a 64MP primary camera.

Launching this week in Pakistan, the Vivo V23 5G is claimed to have a “lucrative design, smooth finish” thoughtfully created by the company’s “highly skilled designers”. The phone offers a color-changing glass with its “smartly created edges, luxurious appearance, glass design that radiates perfection. The smartphone will also have a comfortable hold in hand.”

Apart from the company’s attractive explanation, the Vivo V23 actually has plenty of features under the hood that could attract customers.

The V23 5G has a 6.44-inch large screen with a Full HD+ display resolution of 2400×1800 pixels. The display features an AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate that also comes with HDR10+ support. The phone does not come with a Gorilla Glass, however, it features a strengthened glass by Schott – known as Xensation Up. That’s what Vivo has been using in its X-Series smartphones previously.

The Vivo V23 5G packs with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset which is designed especially for the camera-centric purpose and a long-lasting battery. The octa-core processor has 2 performance cores of Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.5GHz, coupled with 6 A55 efficient cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Along with this, there is a Mali G68 GPU with four cores.

With respect to memory, the Vivo V23 globally comes in two configurations. A 128GB storage with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage with 12GB of RAM. We are not sure yet which configuration will appear in Pakistan markets on Feb 15.

As mentioned in the intro, the phone has a prominent feature of a 50-megapixel front-facing camera coupled with another 8MP shooter for group or ultra-wide selfies. The front cam also has a support of Dual-LED flash along with a 4K video recording.

On the back, the V23 5G has a 64MP main camera coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensor. The main camera features a PDAF sensor and f/1.9 large aperture lens while the secondary ultra-wide lens has a narrower f/2.2 aperture.

The Vivo V23 is backed by a 4,200 mAh battery with 44-watt fast charging – claimed to charge 68% in 30 minutes. The phone runs Android 12 OS with the FuntouchOS 12 on top.

The V23 doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack but offers USB Type-C and NFC connectivity and the latter is what could be based on regional markets.

Price and Availability

Availability will of course follow the pre-order phase starting this week. The price will be unveiled on Feb 15. Globally the phone comes in two color options Sunshine Gold, and Stardust Black, which are the possible two options to launch in Pakistan.
