Vivo has recently launched the newest addition to its renowned V series — Vivo V23 5G. Following the pre-booking phase, the V23 5G is now available for sale starting February 22, 2022. This phone offers a dual front camera setup with 50MP AF Portrait Selfie and 8MP Super Wide-Angle Camera.
Other key factors of the phone include nice performance for gaming. The exterior of the phone combines Vivo’s Metal Flat Frame design with a Color Changing Fluorite AG Design technology.
Screen and Display
The V23 5G is all packed within a 7.39mm ultra-slim body and one-piece Metal Flat Frame. The new phone has a 6.44-inch large screen with a Full HD+ display resolution of 2400×1800 pixels. It features an AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate that also comes with HDR10+ support.
The phone does not come with a Gorilla Glass, however, it features a strengthened glass by Schott – known as Xensation Up. That’s what Vivo has been using in its X-Series smartphones previously.
Performance and Memory
The Vivo V23 5G is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset which is designed especially for the camera-centric purpose and a long-lasting battery. The octa-core processor has 2 performance cores of Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.5GHz, coupled with 6 A55 efficient cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Along with this, there is a Mali G68 GPU with four cores.
As far as memory is concerned, Vivo launched only a single variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It’s worth noting that the phone does have an 8GB RAM variant with 128GB storage in other regions. So you may expect it to launch in Pakistan sooner or later, though not confirmed by Vivo.
The phone also supports Vivo’s extended RAM 2.0 that can further enhance the onboard memory virtually. Other features include Liquid Cooling System and Ultra Game Mode for optimal gameplay.
The Vivo V23 is backed by a 4,200 mAh battery with 44-watt fast charging (11V/4A FlashCharge adapter) – claimed to charge 68% in 30 minutes. The actual charging power is dynamically adjusted as the scenario changes and is subject to actual use. The phone runs Android 12 OS with the FuntouchOS 12 on top. The V23 doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack but offers USB Type-C and NFC connectivity and the latter is what could be based on regional markets.
Camera Features
The Vivo V23 5G has a 64MP main camera on the back with an f/1.9 large aperture lens. The image sensor under the hood is Samsung’s ISOCELL GW1. The 1/1.72″ type sensor has a pixel size of 0.8μm, however, the pixel binning technology (or the Tetra pixel tech as Samsung calls it) allows it to perform as 1.6μm. The standard photo resolution is 16MP with higher image detail and less noise but the full 64-megapixel resolution is on demand.
Among the triple camera setup on the back, there is an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensor. These units allow taking super-wide-angle photographs at 16mm focal length and super macro shots respectively. The main camera supports Super Night Mode if you are concerned.
On the front, there is a 50-megapixel selfie camera with JNV sensor inside and eye-autofocus capability. The front camera has an accompanied 8MP shooter for group or ultra-wide selfies. The optical field of view of the front super wide-angle camera is 105°, and 98° after accounting for distortion correction.
The front cam also has a support of Dual-LED flash along with a 4K video recording. The dual selfie camera comes with built-in modes of AI Extreme Night Portrait, Stylized portraits, Party Portrait, Multi-Style, etc.

The new Vivo V23 5G is now available for sale across Pakistan in 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage at the price tag of Rs. 89,999. Available in two color options of Stardust Black and Sunshine Gold, the Vivo V23 5G comes with a one-year repair warranty, 15 days free replacement, and 6 months warranty for accessories.
