At the highly anticipated Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2023, OPPO took the stage to unveil its latest breakthrough in the XR field—the OPPO MR Glass Developer Edition. This state-of-the-art mixed reality (MR) device, packed with cutting-edge technology, offers an optimal environment for advanced developers to create and showcase immersive MR experiences.

In a bid to drive innovation in MR applications, OPPO plans to make the OPPO MR Glass available as an official Snapdragon Spaces developer kit in China. Said Bakadir, Senior Director of XR Product Management at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., acknowledged OPPO’s relentless efforts in exploring XR technologies, products, content, and services, making OPPO an ideal partner in the field. Bakadir expressed enthusiasm about the potential solutions that improve productivity, creativity, and gaming experiences on OPPO MR Glass. He emphasized the significance of finding more MR content to enliven the platform, foster innovative experiences, and bring breakthroughs to the industry. Bakadir also expressed a desire to deepen the collaboration with OPPO to stimulate further innovations in the MR ecosystem.
OPPO MR Glass, the device at the forefront of developer innovation, offers a cutting-edge platform for creating and testing the latest MR experiences. Powered by the Snapdragon XR2+ platform, OPPO MR Glass boasts OPPO’s proprietary SUPERVOOC fast charging and heart rate detection functions, opening doors to a wide array of new applications.
The device is built with skin-friendly materials and incorporates Binocular VPT (Video Pass Trough) technologies, dual front RGB cameras, pancake lenses, and a 120Hz high refresh rate, ensuring a seamless and immersive MR experience.
OPPO’s commitment to XR innovation is evident through its previous work on advanced concept products in the XR technology realm. Starting with the release of OPPO’s first AR concept product, OPPO AR Glass, in 2019, the company has continued to bring groundbreaking smart glasses to the public, including OPPO AR Glass 2021, OPPO Air Glass, and OPPO Air Glass 2. These products have explored possibilities in algorithms, optical solutions, interactions, and ecosystem development.
