Alibaba Unveils Logistics Services to Boost Pakistani Exporters’ Global Reach

Alibaba.com, the global B2B e-commerce platform, has introduced a new suite of online logistics services designed to support Pakistani exporters, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as they navigate the challenges of international trade.

The move comes as cross-border e-commerce continues to grow rapidly, offering new avenues for Pakistani businesses to access global markets. However, despite the opportunity, many SMEs in the country struggle with export-related logistics—a key hurdle that Alibaba.com aims to address through its latest offering.

In partnership with international express delivery companies, including CPEX, Alibaba.com’s new logistics service covers over 200 countries and regions. It integrates packaging, warehousing, shipping, and delivery into a single streamlined system, enabling businesses to manage costs, enhance shipping efficiency, and reduce risk.

Key features of the service include real-time order tracking, automated route optimization, and customs advisory support. Businesses also receive detailed, upfront pricing for services such as base freight, surcharges, and taxes—an effort to bring greater transparency and cost control to international shipping.

Alibaba.com’s logistics solution is fully digital, with AI-powered tools that facilitate everything from order placement to 24/7 tracking. The platform suggests optimal shipping routes and enables direct communication between sellers and buyers, supporting timely and reliable deliveries.

“Online logistics services are essential for small and medium-sized enterprises in global trade,” said Summer Gao, Head of Global Supply Chain at Alibaba.com. “By leveraging advanced technologies and comprehensive solutions, Alibaba.com helps support Pakistani SMEs in enhancing their competitiveness, ensuring timely deliveries, and responding swiftly to market demands.”

One Pakistani exporter already seeing the impact is Clush Industries, a garment manufacturer specializing in T-shirts, hoodies, and tracksuits. Since joining Alibaba.com in 2024, the company has expanded into major markets including the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. Today, 100% of its export revenue is generated through the platform.

“The introduction of Alibaba.com’s logistics services has greatly accelerated our transaction processes and bolstered customer trust,” said Zulqarnain Baryar, CEO of Clush Industries. “With features such as detailed tracking and optimized shipping routes, these services ensure timely deliveries and improved risk management.”

Berry Ma, Head of Pakistan Business at Alibaba.com, emphasized the broader goal of the initiative: “Our new logistics services aim to support Pakistani exporters by providing efficient solutions to overcome traditional barriers in international trade. We’re committed to helping Pakistani businesses tap into significant growth opportunities in global markets.”

The launch marks Alibaba.com’s latest push to strengthen its role in Pakistan’s export ecosystem, providing the digital infrastructure and logistics support needed to connect local businesses with buyers around the world.
