A video of roughly two minutes, claimed to show an unannounced remake of the first Persona game, has leaked online. It first appeared on Reddit and then spread across X and YouTube on 31 October. Sega and Atlus have said nothing, so treat it as unconfirmed.
The poster tied the clip to a remake called Persona: Be Your True Mind, the subtitle of the 1996 original. Most fans appear to think it is genuine, mainly because of its length and detail and because the music, effects and art match Atlus’s recent games.
Why some people believe it
The strongest clue is animation. Eriko, one of the characters, appears to use the same summoning animation as Yukiko in Persona 4 Revival, the remake due on 18 February 2027, according to an IGN report. That would fit a build made with the same tools.
Doubters point to Tatsuya, a Persona 2 protagonist, who shows up in the footage. The report says this could be an unfinished stand-in model. Some commenters guess the video is an internal pitch for Persona 1 and 2 remakes rather than a game build, and nobody knows when it was captured.
What Atlus has said before
In August, Atlus producer Kazuhisa Wada would not confirm any work on Persona 1 and 2 remakes, though he said it is something “we have to do”. Persona 3 Reload came out in 2024, and the studio has been hit by leaks before, including images from Persona 6 in June.
Until Atlus or Sega responds, the footage should be read as a possible pitch or work in progress, not a release plan. There is no platform, date or price.
