Sony has announced the Prism Collection, a set of see-through DualSense controllers for the PS5 in Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray. Matching console covers come in the same three colours. Pre-orders open on 10 November 2026 and the range ships from 4 February 2027.
The pitch is nostalgia for see-through hardware. “We know how much our fans have been looking forward to the return of transparent controllers,” said Leo Cardoso of the Color, Material and Finish team.
Clear back, metallic middle
Each controller has a glossy transparent shell across the back, so the circuitry inside is visible. The centre section of the face is metallic, which gives the pad two contrasting surfaces instead of one tinted plastic.
Sony’s PlayStation Blog post says the orange turns slightly rosy where the clear material overlaps, while the green is a dark hunter shade and the gray is a cooler, stormy one. The console covers get the same finish.
The team says the idea was to let players see the craftsmanship inside the controller and the console. Prism follows Sony’s iridescent Chroma Collection of 2024, which also covered DualSense pads and console covers in three colours, though that one was pearlescent rather than clear.

Prices and pre-order dates
| Item | US | Japan | Eurozone | UK |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| DualSense controller | $84.99 | ¥12,480 | €84.99 | £74.99 |
| PS5 console cover | $74.99 | ¥9,980 | €74.99 | £64.99 |
Pre-orders start at 10am local time on 10 November, which is 7am PT in the US. Sony will sell through its own store where that exists, and through participating retailers. Exact launch dates can differ by country.
The covers may be the harder item to get. Sony’s own store is the main channel for them, with small allocations going to a few retailers in other markets. Direct ordering is listed for the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
Outside the direct-order markets
Sony has not announced any country-specific details beyond those direct-order markets, and the prices above are its own regional figures, so shoppers elsewhere should wait for a retailer listing before counting on a date or a price.
Shipping is about twelve weeks after pre-orders open, so the 10 November start matters mainly for anyone who wants to be first in the queue.
