TikTok removed 23.2 million videos in Pakistan in Q2 2026

TikTok says it took down more than 23.2 million videos in Pakistan between April and June 2026, about 1.1% of everything uploaded there.

Key points

  • TikTok removed over 23.2 million videos in Pakistan from April to June 2026.
  • 99.7% were caught proactively; 519,075 were later restored after review.
  • Globally it removed over 188.2 million videos in the quarter.

TikTok removed more than 23.2 million videos uploaded in Pakistan during the second quarter of 2026, according to its latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report. That is roughly 1.1% of all videos posted from the country between April and June.

The figure is slightly higher than the previous quarter. TikTok’s report for January to March 2026 put Pakistan’s removals at about 22.5 million, a rate of 0.8%. Most of the increase shows up in the share rather than the count, which suggests the platform caught a larger slice of uploads this time.

Almost all of it caught by automation

Automation did nearly all the work: 99.7% of takedowns in Pakistan happened before a user flagged anything, and 94.5% of the removed clips were gone within a day of going up. The first Pakistani quarter of the year recorded 99.6% and 95.5% on those two measures, so speed dipped by a point while detection barely moved.

In the other direction, the platform reversed itself on 519,075 Pakistani videos after a second look and put them back online. In the first quarter it restored 690,557, so fewer wrongly flagged clips were reinstated this time.

The global numbers

Worldwide, TikTok removed more than 188.2 million videos in the quarter, with automated tools responsible for 99.5% of removals and 6,262,383 videos restored on review. On the account side, TikTok shut down 146,807,400 fake profiles and a further 26.8 million that it believed belonged to under-13s.

Sensitive and mature themes were the biggest removal category worldwide at 19.5%, followed by mental and behavioural health content at 16.1%, body exposure and sexualised behaviour at 13.8%, and dangerous activities and challenges at 13.5%. Edited media and AI-generated content made up 1.8%. These shares are global; the figures we read did not split them by country, so we cannot say how Pakistan compares.

We have tracked these quarterly reports for years, including the 12 million removals TikTok reported for Pakistan in early 2022, so the count has roughly doubled since then, and it is about four times the 6 million reported for the third quarter of 2021. The full Q2 2026 report is published in English and Urdu on TikTok’s Transparency Center.
