Sony has given PlayStation Plus a set of perks that have nothing to do with games, but only for members with accounts in the United Kingdom, France or Germany. The offers include a YouTube Premium trial, money off DualSense controllers and a credit for a film from the Sony Pictures library.
They are open to every tier, Essential, Extra and Premium, so nobody has to upgrade to claim them. Sony says new offers will be added regularly, and it invites businesses with a product or service that might suit members to apply through an email address on the page.
The PlayStation Plus perks page lists the launch line-up, and each one has its own steps to unlock it:
- YouTube Premium: ad-free videos, gaming soundtracks and offline playback, starting with a three-month trial for new subscribers.
- Calm: a two-month trial of the sleep and meditation app.
- Sony Pictures Core: one movie credit, redeemed in the Sony Pictures Core app on the console.
- Audible: audiobooks and Audible Originals for £0.99 monthly during the opening quarter of a membership.
- DAZN: 20% off the Ultimate boxing subscription.
- PlayStation Direct: 5% off purchases, plus £10 off DualSense wireless controllers.
- Sony Electronics: 10% off gaming products and Bluetooth speakers.
The page’s footnotes carry the conditions, such as free express delivery on a console only when a second item is bought with it, so check the terms for your country before relying on a discount. The page quotes prices in pounds because it is the UK version.
Sony has not said whether the programme will reach other countries.
