Xiaomi has started teasing a worldwide launch of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, the two Leica-camera flagships it released in China in September. Listings and energy labels from Europe suggest the global phones will carry smaller batteries than the Chinese ones, and a much higher price.
None of the figures below come from Xiaomi. They come from a retailer listing and from leakers, so treat them as unconfirmed until the company publishes its own global price list. Xiaomi has not published a launch date either.
The Chinese phones are the starting point. Xiaomi’s CMO Xu Fei said the day after the September unveiling that the 18 Pro series would go global this year, and a GSMArena write-up of that video listed the Chinese specs: a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED screen and a 2.7-inch rear display on the Pro, a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a 200MP main camera. The Pro Max is the bigger 6.9-inch model with an 8,500mAh cell and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip.
Battery cuts for Europe
European energy-label (EPREL) entries, as collected by Notebookcheck, show the global Pro with a 6,000mAh battery and 90W charging. That is 1,000mAh less than in China. The global Pro Max is listed at 7,050mAh against 8,500mAh in China. Vivo and OPPO have done the same with their global flagships in recent years, so the cut follows a pattern.
The same report says the phones will come in black and white as in China, plus a new opaque red called Velvet Red, and a blue shade named Cosmic Blue. The pink Chinese version is reportedly not planned for Europe.
Two sets of price leaks
The prices differ depending on who is leaking. An Italian retailer’s online store listed the Pro at €1,398.90 for 12GB and 256GB, €1,591.90 for 12GB and 512GB, and the Pro Max at €1,783.90 for a single 12GB and 512GB version. Sudhanshu Ambhore, the leaker behind the figures in that report, gave €1,449 for the Pro with 256GB and €1,649 with 512GB, and €1,649 and €1,849 for the Pro Max with 256GB and 512GB.
| Model | Retailer listing | Leaker figure |
|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi 18 Pro, 12GB/256GB | €1,398.90 | €1,449 |
| Xiaomi 18 Pro, 12GB/512GB | €1,591.90 | €1,649 |
| Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, 12GB/256GB | not listed | €1,649 |
| Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, 12GB/512GB | €1,783.90 | €1,849 |
Either way, the phones would cost noticeably more than the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, which went on sale only a few months ago.
When it arrives is unclear
GSMArena reports that Xiaomi’s latest social post puts the global debut later this month. The leak report says the company had not named a date and that rumours pointed to December or even next year. Until Xiaomi names a date, either timeline is possible. There is no word yet on Pakistan.
