Xiaomi confirms the 18 Pro series is going global in November, event expected around 17 November

Xiaomi has confirmed a November global launch for the 18 Pro series; a teaser video suggests the Pro Max is included, with an event expected around 17 November.

Key points

  • Xiaomi has confirmed the 18 Pro series goes global in November.
  • No launch date is official; 17 November is inferred from a Xiaomi Japan giveaway.
  • Retailer listings suggest smaller batteries than China's 8,500mAh Pro Max.

Xiaomi has confirmed that its 18 Pro series will go on sale outside China this November, and a teaser video suggests the top Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be part of it. Xiaomi has not announced a date, but an event around 17 November is widely expected.

The company said on X that the series is “going global this November” and asked fans which market they want first. That post named no models. A teaser video it then shared points to the Pro Max as well as the Pro, and lists Japan and South Korea among the first markets. The video also shows South America further back in the queue: Bolivia and Chile get it in December 2026, while Argentina, Ecuador and parts of Central America, Honduras included, wait for 2027.

Xiaomi’s newest post, from 6 November, is a short clip about the back display of the 18 Pro series, the small rear screen that doubles as a selfie viewfinder, with a question asking fans where their favourite selfie was taken. The 17 November guess comes from Xiaomi Japan, whose giveaway for new products closes on 16 November. Launches usually follow soon after such promotions, so the event is expected between 16 and 18 November. That date is inference, not an announcement.

The Pro and Pro Max already launched in China on 23 September. In China the Pro Max runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme and has an 8,500mAh battery. The main screen measures 6.9 inches, and the rear display is 2.9 inches. In China the entry model (12GB memory, 256GB storage) costs 6,999 yuan, and the 16GB/1TB version tops the range at 9,999 yuan.

South Korea is one of the confirmed markets. A Korean trade report from October expected the Pro Max there in November, with a local price still unset but likely below 2 million won, and pointed out that Xiaomi’s share of that market is under 1%. The shift is notable because the 17 generation went abroad in September 2025 with only its standard model; the Pro versions never left China.

Global hardware may also differ from the Chinese models. Battery sizes are the clearest difference so far: Epto, an Italian shop, shows 6,000mAh for the Pro and 7,050mAh for the Pro Max, where China gets 7,000mAh and 8,500mAh. Its Pro charging figure is 90W against 100W at home. Treat these as shop listings, not Xiaomi data. Global prices and the full market list are still to come.
